Sometimes when you are a full time blogger it’s hard to deal with stress when your trying to work on a daily basis, things in life get in the way. For me, my tire went low on me and I didn’t check all my tires before I left home, and I was driving on 1 really low tire, I didn’t know that I was going to get stuck in a turnoff. Well, that’s what happened, there was too much snow around and the tire came off the rim and so I had to turn on my hazard lights and leave my car there, sitting at a turn off, until I could get the spare tire filled up with enough air and replaced with the faulty rim and tire.
Sounds complicated but earlier I was yelled at by my landlord for not shoveling the snow on time. So this made my stress level even higher than ever than I have felt in the past 3 months. I had good excuses for everything. I had reasons to why I did not deserve what was happening to me. That stress just made me question me existence and made me drink at the end of the day as I could not get over what had happened.
As of writing this article it is the same day that all of this happened, so I thought it might help me to de-stress a little bit by writing an article about stress. One great thing about having a blog is that you can take a day off, if you have built up your following enough over the past months or years and be able to get your income that you were promised. Taking a day off is quite healthy and quite mandatory if you are going through a stressful time. One video that helped me out to de-stress was this one below:
Marie Forleo is a great person who is well educated on managing psychology symptoms like stress. Anyways, the video goes over some important things to remember.
- Everything is “Figure-outable”.
Getting into the moment is really how you need to think to get over this stress. Everything can be figured out, you just need to stop, and think, and figure out how to deal with the current tress you are feeling.
2. Stop stressing and start engaing.
Take a look at what you can do right now, sometimes it’s a physical action, like having a conversation or making a phone call, and other times it’s a spiritual action, and you need to just slow down and have a little prayer time.
3. Nothing is worth getting stressed out over.
Have you noticed that everything seems to ALWAYS work out in the end?. Knowing this is confidence, and confidence leads to less tress in the future after going through stress in any given situation. Every time I freak out while being stressed out, somehow it always works out in the end. So, stress only makes you less effective and honestly, stress is poison to your productivity.
So, while I was trying to put that tire on my car while its snowing like crazy the car jack fell over, twice. It was too slippery to put a new tire on. But one guy pulled over to help, he was such a nice guy. He put scraped the road with his windshield scraper and layed some sand down to make the ground more stable and less slippery. He stayed there a whole 10 minutes and helped me put the spare tire on. I could not believe that he was able to put up with this stress and deal with my situation without keeping on driving and ignoring me completely.
There are some nice people out there, and this guy was one of them. It felt like God sent someone over to help me out, and not only was he there to help but so was my mom. (Though she just waited in the car while we figured things out, what do you expect haha). Anyways, every stressful situation works out in the end, and writing about it, helps you de-stress even more. I eventually drove my car to the dealership so I could deal with it in the morning. I drove on that spare tire I installed and it drove just fine down the highway. After parking the car in the dealership parking lot I felt so relieved that it had all worked out. Even stressful situations that you don’t think will work out, do work out somehow. You just got to keep thinking of ways to solve the situation.
Anyways if you read this post thanks for stopping by and please share this article on your Facebook or anywhere else, it helps out a lot!.
